Instructions for Book Content Submissions
Trinity C.M.E. Church is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our first published history book in June 2025! This special book will commemorate the incredible service and impact our church has had on the city of Indianapolis over the past 100 years.
We are excited to have you as a contributing participant in this milestone, as we work together to create a lasting legacy for generations to come. On this website, you will find detailed instructions for submitting your content, along with guidelines on how to make your submission.

Getting Started. THINGS TO KNOW!

Your writing should be submitted via Microsoft Word.

Use Times New Roman 12pt font only.

Double Space.

Margins set at 1 inch all around (right, left, top, bottom).

Pictures can be inserted. Please make sure pictures are visible (clear), centered, and provides a caption. (Note pictures will be printed in black and white).

If using outside resources in your content, please include a reference page at the end of your document. The references will be given to our reference coordinator to compile.

Your write ups are due by FEBRUARY 1, 2025 (THIS IS THE FINAL DATE!!!!!!) Remember to be respectful in your submissions (e.g no finger pointing, talking about individuals, having disrespectful tone towards individuals, etc.). This is an opportunity to shine light on the positives of our church throughout the past 100 years.

Not sure where to begin, consider interviewing seasoned members, reviewing old programs, using Hoosier Chronicles to access old newspapers, etc.

What to Submit

Founding Families - Descendants of our founding families are asked write a summary of the family, who as involved in the chartering of Trinity and any stories past down from generations about the families involvement in Trinity. Requesting 3 pages minimum, 10 pages max.

Church Auxiliaries/ Boards - Each auxiliary/board is asked to designate someone from your group to submit a brief overview and the history of your group. Pictures are welcomed. 1-3 pages max. NOTE: ONE write up per auxiliary.

The Trinity Experience - Members (past and present) are encouraged to submit 1-2 pages max, about their perspectives, experience and/or most memorable moments at Trinity. ​​
